Position: CPG Manager (Contract Participation Goals) in South Africa

Experience: 10+ Years .
Requirement: Collection of a list of target companies around the project and preliminarily compile the project CPG plan. Subcontracting special planning, target company list, and CPG plan format refer to the attachment.
Key aspects of the CPG Manager's role:
Implementation of CPGs:
The CPG manager is responsible for implementing the Contract Participation Goals (CPGs) as outlined in the project specifications.
Targeted Enterprise Development:
A core function is to identify and facilitate the participation of targeted enterprises, including SMMEs, in the project.
Subcontracting and Joint Ventures:
This often involves ensuring that a minimum percentage of the project's value (e.g., 5% or 30%) is subcontracted to or undertaken in joint ventures with these targeted enterprises.
Developmental Support:
The CPG manager ensures that the principal contractor provides developmental support to the targeted sub-contractors and JV partners.
Monitoring and Reporting:
This includes tracking the progress of CPG implementation, monitoring the performance of targeted enterprises, and reporting on the achievement of CPG targets.
Compliance:
The CPG manager ensures compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines related to CPGs, such as those outlined by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of all CPG-related activities, including details of targeted enterprises, amounts allocated, and progress reports.
Communication:
Effectively communicating with all stakeholders, including contractors, targeted enterprises, and employer representatives, regarding CPG requirements and progress.
Sanctions:
Ensuring that appropriate sanctions are applied if CPG targets are not met.
