Immigration Consultant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Manage work permit applications, renewals, amendments and cancellations.
• Assist with business, employment and other applicable visa applications.
• Coordinate residence permit and immigration-related documentation.
• Monitor the validity and expiry dates of visas, work permits and residence documents.
• Prepare and review immigration application forms and supporting documentation.
• Ensure that applications comply with applicable Mozambican immigration and labour requirements.
• Follow up applications with the relevant government authorities.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding the status of their applications.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling personal and corporate information.
• Verify that documentation such as passports, employment contracts, NUITs, certificates and company documents is complete and valid.
• Liaise with immigration authorities, labour authorities and other relevant government departments.
• Prepare regular reports on pending, approved and expired immigration cases.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Degree or diploma in Law, Human Resources, 
• Previous experience in immigration, work permits, HR, legal administration, corporate services or a related area.
• Good knowledge of administrative and government procedures in Mozambique.
• Strong documentation and case-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Fluency in Portuguese and good command of English.

Advantageous:

• Previous experience handling expatriate work permits and visas.
• Experience dealing directly with immigration and labour authorities.
• Knowledge of Mozambican immigration and labour legislation.
• Experience in a consultancy, HR, recruitment or corporate services environment.
