Store Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Monitor, control, and secure stock levels, reorder fast-moving parts, and track lost sales.

Vendor & Supplier Relations: Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers, build vendor relationships, and source quality-compliant replacement parts.

Staff Leadership: Interview, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate store or department associates and drivers.

Customer Service & Sales: Handle over-the-counter and phone sales, assist customers in finding the right parts, and resolve complaints.

Financial & P&L Management: Analyze monthly sales, expenses, and profit margins, manage budgets, and set competitive pricing.

Operations & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while enforcing company policies and local regulations.

Automotive Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle makes, models, systems, and parts interpretation.

Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for dealing with walk-in customers, mechanics, and suppliers.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education: High school diploma, preferred degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, or related field.

Experience: 2 to 5+ years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, retail parts sales, or auto repair industry, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Administrative & Computer Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office.
