Required Skills and Abilities 

Technical Skills 

Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural construction drawings, structural drawings and other engineering documents, and able to accurately understand the design intent and construction requirements. 

Master the construction technologies and processes of civil engineering, such as earthwork, concrete, steel structure and foundation engineering, and be able to provide technical guidance for on-site construction. 

Familiar with the use of engineering software, such as AutoCAD for drawing design, Primavera P6 or MS Project for schedule management. 
 
Management Skills 

Strong organizational and coordination skills, able to effectively manage the construction team and subcontractors, and coordinate the work of various departments. 

Excellent problem-solving skills, able to quickly identify and resolve problems in construction production and subcontractor management. 

Good planning and control skills, able to formulate reasonable construction production plans and subcontractor management plans, and effectively control the progress, quality and cost of the project. 
 
Communication and Language Skills 

Fluent in spoken and written English, able to conduct effective communication and negotiation with project team members, subcontractors, owners and supervision units. 

Basic knowledge of local languages in South Africa (such as Zulu) is a plus, which is conducive to better communication with local workers and subcontractors. 
 
Other Requirements 

Hold a valid South African driver's license (Code B or above) and be able to drive to and from the construction site independently. 

Be able to adapt to the working environment of the construction site, including working in high temperatures and outdoor conditions, and be willing to work overtime or stay on-site when necessary. 

Have a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism and team spirit, and be able to work under pressure to complete the assigned tasks.
